I have a state select electric hot water heater model #ES666DORTGW. It is not heating the water. ANy suggestions on what to check?

Have you verified you have not blown a fuse or threw a breaker? Check the elements and thermostats

My wife checked the breaker box. I willhave to check the fuse when I get home. How do you know if it is the heating element?

Shut the power off to unit. Open the top and bottom access. Remove one wire from each element and test for continuity with a mulimeter set to continuity. If none the element is bad. Also if unit is old, you could have a lot of setiment built up in unit
