I hope someone can help me peg this movie. It's a period drama of a young american girl and she was wearing a straw hat in a quite a few scenes in Veitnam with an older dignitary (a prince or something) lover. The last scene she was sailing away on a steamship. Only caught the last fifteen minutes of and it looked interesting. Thanks ahead of time!

Can you remember anything more about it?

Well, the cars & vehicles looked maybe 1930ish. There was a narrator and the end of the movie speaking of the young girl saying she didn't show any emotion (over leaving) as she hadn't about anything else. The credits cut off early but I think I saw some Vietnamese locaction credits..
