I had someone sue me in small claims court and I filed a counter claim against the person but when we went to court the judge said he was hearing their case against me not my case so I never got to prove my case only defend myself against this person. Two other things he sued my husband and myself and also listed the business name we work for on the suit but did not sue the owner of the business I never had any interaction with these people so how could he sue me in the first place. Also I was suppose to here from the court within a week on the decision for the plaintiff suing me and it took 3 weeks now I have heard from them and they said that these people won their case against me and I lost my case that I never got to plead in the first place. Isn't there something I can file to have this case reheard or dismissed because I never got to tell the judge any of these things because he didn't say he was hearing my case against them so I didn't think he was.

You need to hire an attorney and appeal to state court. ** or the name of the court that appeals go to.

You should have known you were in trouble when they refused to here the counter suit ( often they think you did those just to get back at the other person) And they named you and the business since you name everyone possible when suing so that if you win, you can collect from everyone personally and business. So the owner is also in trouble snce his business is now also liable. If he is a sole owner, that makes him automatically personally liable also. If he has a corporation, then only the business is liable.
So all of you need to hire an attorney and go back to court.
