I am fixing up an old bathroom which have a toilet very close to the wall (on one side). I want to move the toilet approx 1-2" farther away but do not want to install an offset flange since it would be a major job cutting off the old and adhering the new flange to the cast iron drain. Does any manufacturer make a toilet that has a side offset? I know they make front to back offset toilets.

Any help on this subject would be appreciated...

To answer your question... I do not know of any toilets that offset sideways.

Let me ask you this, though. What floor is this old bathroom on? Are pipes exposed underneath?

Could always go downstairs and cut pipe and transition over to pvc pipe with appropriate clamp and then install an offset flange pretty easy (if this is 1st floor bath with accessible drains in basement.. ;) ).

Also, just FYI, cast iron flanges crack off pretty easy... Here, I use a cold chisel and a heavy hammer to crack the flange into 2 or 3 pieces and then pry them out and then cut the old lead ring off with chisel, remove oakum, and then install an offset flange (would need to remove a bit of floor to work this in). You can also use a 3/8" or smaller drill bit and drill the lead out and then pry up on flange to loosen oakum, and then pull out oakum and finally lift out old flange... so a couple ways to do it.

The packing of oakum and the pouring of lead may present issues for you, however, as you need certain tools to pack/pour lead joint.

They do make a liquid lead I have read about.. but never used... so can't recommend... but may be an option for you.
