I have Liteon dvd-rom ltd. It works perfect to play dvd but it can't recognise any dvds for writing tried with dvd+r and dvd-r. I have also reinstalled the latest drivers and also tried with old drives again. But no luck it can't regonises a dvd disc for some reason.

Anyides?

Warm regards Anders

DVD-Rom drives only READ discs - the ROM stands for Read-Only-Memory. To write DVD discs you'll need a DVD-RW drive such as a Lite-On LH-20A1H (http://us.liteonit.com/us/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=204&Itemid=67). These usually have a DVD Multi-recorder logo on the drive tray and read and write most optical disc formats.
