I am installing a shower in a corner that will have full height walls on two sides, a short wall on the third, and will be open on the fourth side. I plan to use a "rain" type shower head, and the shower will be about 40 inches square. My question is, how tall do I need to make the short wall to keep most of the splash inside the shower?

I have "rain" type shower head installed in my shower. Unlike a regular shower head that hits your chest the water comes down from the top and bounces off your head and sholders. I have a "short wall" in my shower that measures 78" from the floor to the top of the wall. This keeps the splash inside where it belongs. Good luck, Tom

Thanks for your response Tom. My wife is 5'5" and would like to be able to see over the wall. What do you think of a 5 ft wall with a "rain" type shower head? This bathroom won't have a full height ceiling either; likely around 6'10". I don't expect to see as much splash from this type head since the water doesn't come out under much velocity. Thoughts?
