I'm looking for a cabling diagram indicating how to configure an analogue 32" TV with a Star Choice DSR505 HD satellite receiver and an older Sanyo, non S Video capable VCR. With the configuration set up by the provider, I cannot get a VCR picture when playing the VCR.

This depends on what inputs and outputs are available. The satellite feed goes into the Staellitle receiver. You then ran from an output on the Satellite received into input on the VCR. And finally, from output on the VCR to input on the TV.

If you have multiple inputs on the TV, and multiple outputs on the Satellite, you can go direct from Sat to TV and from Sat to VCR, then VCR to TV.

Let's all guess together since our visibility is so clear on your setup. :)

We need some serious help from you. You've thrown a bunch of model numbers and devices but given us zero information about the connection sides of these devices.

I know you said your TV is analog but that is truly not relevant at this point. We need to know whether your TV will only accept RF signals, Composite signal or S-video.

How was it working before, and what did you add that wreaked the change? On your Digital Receiver, did you manually set it up to talk to your TV as a regular TV?

What you fail to understand is there really is no general diagrams for this. Its simply a matter of what order to connect the devices. The next step is to match the cable types between the inputs and the outputs.

Try:
Monster Cable Connection Guide - Home (http://www.monstercables.com/connection/)
Go through the Connection Guides and Connection types.
Need to know what inputs TV has. You won't have true HD.
Does it work if you hook coax out of Sat into VCR, out of VCR into TV.
The Type of ins and outs are important to get better quality. Good Luck.
