Hi,I was recently replacing a G.F.I ,but I took it out of another unit .I looked for the breaker box ,searched for location of such in the breaker box ,shut it off,then took it .next breaker in to the unit w/o it and turned off power off ,then replaced it by looking at the back of G.F.I .there is power in the line, but the reset buttons don't click ;nor the light of such won't turn on.what do I do ?

Marcosgbri - Since you have power at the receptical where the GFI goes and the GFI will not reset then that means that the GFI is NO good and you need to go and buy a new one and install it , Then try it again, Then throw the old one away :: Good Luck & GOD BLESS. :: If my answer helps , rate it below ::: F.B.E.

If you Have Power to LINE side and nothing on load side, it should reset or it is defective.
