Hi,
Im on L1B visa and got transferred to US office about 14 months back.
In my W-2 forms I found that there are withheld amounts as Social security tax and Medicare tax.
Appreciate your answers for the followings
1) As a Non Resident Alien am I suppose to pay Medicare and Social security tax ?
2) Can I get returns for Medicare and Social security tax ? If so where do I have to specify them in my 1040NR-EZ form ?

Thanks in advance,
J

1) You are NOT a non-resident alien. You are probably dual-status. Regardless, anyone under a "H" or "L" visa is liable for Social Security and Medicare taxes.

2) No refund of these taxes is possible.
