My PC joined the Domain(Win Server 2003). I login as local administrator to install the printer(the printer is attached to my PC), there is no problem with printing when I login as a local administrator. But when I login as a domain user(I have the power user right). After printing, all printing document are held in the print queue with "printing status". The printer doesn't start printing. So I restart the computer, as soon as I login the domain, the printer start printing all document. I don't understand why all printing are holding, and start printing on next time login. Please help.

You need to go back through the printers properties as well as the network set up of the printer. Did you share the device properly?

The printer is working fine before I joined the domain, the printer is attached to my computer for me using only. After I joined the domain, then I have above problem. If I login the domain as administrator, the printer is working fine. If I login the domain as a standard user, the printer has the same problem as I mentioned above. The other people have the same printer in our company, but they don't have the same problem. It is strange to me. I thought my PC has problem, so I reinstall a fresh XP profession with SP2. But I still got the same problem. Anyone have any ideas, please help.

Jack,

Are you in fact a Domain Administer in your company? If not, call your IT Help-desk and get them to set the printer up properly.

Also, how have you shared the printer across your domain? Is the printer set up as a local device? Does the printer have it's own IP address? How did you give access privileges to this printer?
