You shut the water off to the valve and open it up,(see image) Dig on down to theball (#6) and just under it find the seats and springs, (#7 See image) Go to a delta dealer and ask for a set. Changing the seats and springs is just like replacing a bwasher in a regular faucet. While you have the valve open turn the water on for a minute to flush out the valve body and supplies. Now reassemble and test.
Good luck, Tom

Let's see if this helps... see pics.

One or the other should be yours. Just shut off water and disassemble valve as presented in the picture. Then pull ball or cartridge and reove the seats and springs... purge valve by pulsing water on/off for a second then re-assemble all (part number is in pic.. or can use universal seats/springs sold at all home supply stores). Let me know if you need more info... Mark

If this helped please RATE THIS ANSWER... Thank you.

Sorry TOM... one minute behind you... LOL... Mine are more colorful :p

I have the new valve in my data base. I just figured that there are more old Deltas out there then new ones. Gary, let us know what you have. Regards, Tom
