If you have a legitimate version of Windows Vista, just re-register the product and you should be fine.

If it not a legitimate version of the Application, you will get no help from me. Bootlegged or Pirated software is illegal and having an illegal copy can cost you major fines from our guys in the federal system of law.

To reboot simply means to power off and back on.

Did you have Vista Ultimate on the PC to begin with? Do you have the disks and license key for Vista Ultimate?

Also what was the EXACT message you received?

Assuming you have a valid license key for Vista someone will have to reinstall Vista. I don't know if Microsoft has ever come out with a hard number, but there is a limit to the number of times you can activate a key. I believe it's 3 times but I could be wrong.
