Like everyone here, once in a while I Google my name to see where it may pop up. Usually my name shows up on work projects and other legitimate websites where maybe I've posted a question or signed a petition, etc.

I should also note that my name is not anything like "Jane Doe".

So when I did my latest Google search with my name I was weirded out by it being listed on several websites that I had never heard of. These websites were NOT message boards or legitimate websites. My name was sort of "sandwiched" between two unrelated sentences and unfortunately the sentences contained items which I wish not to be associated with. This was in the portion of the Google search where there's a small paragraph just above cashe and similar files, etc.

When you actually hit the website is takes a while and comes up with some search engine type board. Also if you Google the names of these weird sites, a lot of Chinese websites come up and other foreign website results.

Here are some of the strange websites:

123social.oxyhostsfree.com
123social.justfree.com
956voiceghj.info
956venueghj.info
956styleghj.info

I emailed Google and no response as of yet. They all start with 123 or 956. In the last few days it's starting to get more and more crazy with more "956" websites coming up with my name associated with it.

Has anyone had experience with their name being on a website in which there was no connection? I could totally see if it was a legitimate website and someone was writing "Miss ____ _________ is my good friend" as in myspace.com, but this is not the same thing and my name is just coming up in the search results...

I am sure there has to be at least one to 100 more people with your name with the billions of people on this earth no matter how unique your name may seem.

No I do not have a typical first name or last name.

Actually there are many people on this planet with a name all to themselves. For instance many people actually altered their surname and add two t's on the end or someone else who adds two O's in the middle. Think of all the very ethnic names too of Asia, Africa for example.

Anyway, that's not my concern, as for the last 5+ years, I can honestly say that when I did a Google search for anyone in my family with our surname it did indeed only reflect my parents and siblings, as we are the only people who spell our names that way.

Thanks for the question and I actually wish my name was "Mary Johnson" or "Jennifer Brown", as then I wouldn't have to worry about my personal information appearing in a Google search, as there would be thousands of Mary Johnsons and nobody would be the wiser.

That is really neat that you have a unique name. I only know a couple people with really unique names.
If they are free to sign up at maybe you could sign up on some of them and see if you are able to get a further idea of who is using your name or something about them?
