I have an old laptop that I'm pretty sure ran windows 3.1. I am wanting to boot it to be able to let my friends' kids use it and play with it. I may have the disks somewhere, but I thought it used to boot windows on it's own when I turned it on. What command do I need to type in to start it? Or do I have to have a boot disk every time? Thanks for your help, it's been at least 10 years since I used this thing.

Well, what does it do when you turn it on? If you get a DOS prompt (C:>) then type 'WINDOWS' and hit enter, should do the trick if windows is installed. Otherwise you'll likely need a boot disk.
