I recently installed a new Westinghouse Monitor on to my 3 year old HP/Xp system. Everything worked great until I tried to load and play Hoyle Casino 3D game. As soon as I clicked on the Hoyle Icon the sceen went blank and a "Out of Range" message came up. Tried Display Setting changes, etc. But nothing seem to work. Any Ideas?

A few options:
1. Video card is dying, Swap it out, see what happens.
2. The video card has decided to set a resolution or refresh rate that exceeds the monitor spec.
3. You can try loading a proper driver for the monitor and see if that helps.
4. The problem sometimes happens when running 3D games. I usually solve it by selecting
*Adapter Default* in advanced display properties (which looks crap) and the upping the
Resolution to 85Hz
I then run the DirectX utility and test this using AGP/Direct3D rendering (if I'm going
To have the Out of Range/Adjust Timing Frequency it happens when I run these tests).
Anyhow try the above and make sure you've tried to select the correct monitor.
Good luck
