I have a 5 yr. old Kenmore side by side. It is running, but everything is warm inside. I had a repairman come out yesterday and he cleaned all of the coils, the fan is clear, the condenser was very hot. He told me to turn it off for the night and turn it back on in the morning and it will start cooling immediately. It does not.
I turned it back on, checked it 3 hours later, still not cool but the condenser is hot again.
What could be the problem?

Call the repairman and have him come out as you did like you were instructed. Don't try to figure it out yourself - that's what you paid the guy to do. Sounds like a part needs to be replaced and he should be able to figure that one out by using a electric tester to see which part is bad.
