Hi,
I was in US on H1B from 27th May 06 till 3rd Feb 07. While filing returns for 2007, I would like to know which form do I have to submit ? (I had filled 1040 EZ for 06 )

Also I would like to know if 1040 NR can be filed electronically?

Thanks in advance for your help

If you are single, you can only file as Dual status alien. You were nonresident in the beginning of the year and resident in the end of the year. You will file Form 1040 or 1040A or 1040EZ and write Dual status on the top. You will only get exemption for $3,400 and won't get standard deduction. You can't e-file your tax return.

Thanks for the answer. When I read the IRS publication for Substantial presence test it seems I am non resident alien for year 2007 and I need to file 1040 NR form. Am I correct?
