I try taking my 21month old daughter of the pacifier but every time I take it from her she crys and she won't stop. What should I do?

She uses the pacifier as a "security blanket". Try giving her something else to take its place, maybe a toy or a stuffed animal.

You can also reward her for not using the pacifier. Tell her that if she doesn't use it she'll get a treat or a toy of some sort.

My kids always respond to me when they know they will get something out of it. The first time my son went on the potty, he got a toy, and has been going ever since.

If she has it all the time you're in for some meltdowns pretty much no matter what you do. Try taking it from her during the day and keep her busy with other activities, then let her have it at nap time if needed. Once you've gotten that far, start telling her about the "Paci Fairy" who comes and collects all the pacis from big boys and girls and gives them to new babies. When you think she's ready, have her gather up all her pacifiers and leave them somewhere for the "Paci Fairy" to collect. When she goes to bed that night, get rid of them and leave her a toy as a reward for donating her pacifiers to the babies who need them. Sort of like the tooth fairy. :)

Just take it from her, she has a fit for a bit, but will get over it.
