Hello everyone ,
I installed developer 2000 and now I need to uninstall it . I manually deleted all the files in the bin. But a few dll files are still there.. like core40.dll file... so how do you remove them ? It says... " disk is write protected ."

Hi,
First, if you have AdAware and SpyBot, I would run a scan in SafeMode. Some research indicates that this file may have 10 variants of itself, that could be considered "spyware".
If the above doesn't work, then start your computer in SafeMode, go to Start/Search (or Find) files, then type in the file name. When it finds it, see if you can delete it from there.
I am not absolutely the above will rid you of the file, but it's worth a try. Best of luck.

It is possible with the software moveonboot, it will delete the .dll file after system reboot.

Have a good time
