My adult King Charles Spaniel sleeps in an inside kennel and starts barking at 5am every morning. How can we stop this?

I would suggest trying to find the source of what is making him want to bark at that time. Do you know of any activities in the neighborhood that might be happening or other animals doing anything at that time? Is there perhaps some sort of delivery person who might be making deliveries of something at that time? Just some thoughts...
