Hi!
I am using GPRS Mobile connection for accessing internet and getting problem with my IP address. On my machine I am have IP that is different from the IP given by Find My IP Address - Lookup (http://whatismyip.com). There are other several websites which tells about IP address of user machine and everywhere I found that IP told by these websites is same but different from that is given to my machine. What I think is there is gateway or proxy server that is doing all this thing. Hence IP only changes for my machine but gatway ip remain same whenever I disconnect my internet connection and then reconnect. Is there any solution so that I can change my ip of gateway or proxyserver or whatever it is...

Please give me solution... I want dynamic ip whenever I connect to internet...

Is your Lan Connection set to automatically obtain an IP?

To get your IP, go to a Command prompt and type IPCONFIG /ALL I would trust a WEB site to tell you.

Typed IPCONFIG /ALL. I am confused... My ip shown to people remain always same. i.e 218.248.65.65 but my ip of machine is different and dynamic. At this instant it is 10.144.131.74 and will change when I will reconnect.. but 218.248.65.65 will remain same...
I'm still confused...

Is the ip 218.248.65.65 NAT Gateway of my ISP that is blocking access to my original ip. Somewhere I heard about this.

Are you using a router? Its possible that the you have a NAT translation that takes the IP assigned to your network adapter or modem and assigns a local IP to your PC.

As I'm GPRS user (Uses internet access through my mobile set ), I do not know the network architechturer of my ISP. Probably there may be NAT Translation that take responsibility of IP for all GPRS user. Hence it may be for all GPRS user, the network ip is different, b1ut same IP for Gateway. Hence if my Gateway is my original IP then IP given to my machine is only in the network of GPRS given by my ISP to all GPRS users. And I think it behave like something Proxy server for accessing external network. It is just what I think. I have no access to network architecture of my ISP so that I can use my IP as public not IP of my Gateway. Is there any method so that my computer IP is shown to people not IP of my gateway, I know it is secure to hide my IP using gateway, but I do not need at this time.

If you haven't called your ISP call them now.

Your ISP has assigned you a Static IP or a Dynamic IP that doesn't change very often. This is entirely common. That external IP will change only under the circumstances defined by your ISP.
I doubt they will change it for you. That being said, why would you like to have a dynamic IP? If you are worried about security you can use one of the many free anonymous proxies on the web or use any of the dozens of programs designed to conceal your IP address.
