A window broke & the glass fell from about 4-5 feet and punctured the top of my left foot. A few days after it happened, after wearing boots for several hours, my feet were numb for 4 days straight! Now 2 months later my foot is somewhat healed, now there is a hard dark spot and it is still sore. Sometimes if I rub my finger over it, it feels as it I poured cold water on it. My toe before the baby toe now hangs down lower than my other toes. It moves but it feels like it is just hanging there. I want to know would it have changed anything if I went to the hospital or got stitches? Massaging it hurts yet feels good... is massaging good for the nerves or not? Do you think my toe will get better in time?

Is it infected? How big is the injury?

If it's NOT infected and the injury's healing, it seems like you suffered some nerve damage.

Nerves will heal (slowly... extremely slowly). Massaging doesn't really "help" regrowth but it may help some blood to move around and may make you feel better.

But really, after 2 months, if it is still sore, I'd go get it looked at.
