My 94 Regal is right off the starter about 6" from attaching to the starter. In the plastic loom so not visible until you open it.

Not all vehicle are equipped with fusible links.

What problems are you having and with which systems?

Thanks Captain Rich - the starter will not turn over - replaced the battery and the starter and also neutral safety switch - there is juice to the starter reading 12 volts also there is no fusible link from the battery to the starter it is a solid cable. But someone said there are 3 fusible links somewhere??

There are two wires going to the starter. The big wire is always hot (12 volts) the smaller, purple wire only has voltage on it while cranking. If it doesn't, the problem is somewhere in the ignition switch or wiring.
If your car has fusible links, the are likely after the fuse box and look just like any other wire, for the most part. The only way to identify them is by looking for markings on the wire.
Also, make certain the battery cables are clean and free of corrosion, and tight.

The starter isn't engaging or the motor isn't turning over? Is anything clicking? You may just have gotten a faulty starter out of the box; that's happened more times than I care to remember.
