I am having troubles with my well pump. I have installed a new tank and a new pump/motor. I have even replaced the wiring from the pump to the house. It started working fine and now after the water runs for a few minutes, it cuts off. The pump seems to be getting hot. After it cools off, the water will start again. The pump is cutting on and off a lot. Any suggestions on where to go from here?

It sounds like the pump pumps up to pressure, shuts off and then starts again. Does the gage show a pressure drop when the pump shuts off? If so I woukd suspect a faulty check/foot valve if that's the case. Let me know, Tom
