What is the difference between track cd's and mp3? I want to burn from my mp3 play list an
Mp3 disk for my mp3 player. When I go to the software it ask me to prepare to burn onto cd tracks. Is there a difference?

What you want to do is burn a "data disc". Just pretend that the mp3's are documents or something. You want the burning software to just copy the files onto the CD and not do any kind of transformation on them.
I hope this makes sense,

If you just copy the mp3 songs to the CD, the songs will NOT play on an mp3 player. You have to give the player as to sequence of the tracks so to speak. Ie as to which song to play first and so on.
If for instance you want to copy 50 songs, rename each song and add a prefix starting with 01.. 02.. etc. If you wish to copy 100 songs the prefixes should be 001, 002 etc.
All this if you are doing it manually. But if you have a CD ripper or mp3 software it should be done at the touch of a button.
