I have a Harbor Breeze ceiling fan with remote control dimmer for the light and 3-setting fan control. My halogen light burned out. When I replaced the bulb with the same specs, the dimming function on the remote control no longer worked (though the fan settings on the remote control still work fine). Now the light goes either On or Off, and I cannot have the fan on without the light being fully on... now I obviously can't sleep with the fan on. PLEASE HELP.

I've never heard of this specifically happening before. Often times when a bulb burns out it will fry the receiver, but in this case it sounds like something shorted two control circuits together in the receiver. Very weird.
Does the fan have pullchains?

Thanks. No pull chains on my fan, so the only way I can control the fan or light is with the remote

What happens when you try to turn the fan on without the light?
I think you're going to need to contact Harbor Breeze for a replacement receiver.

The settings are, make the dip switches in the remote match those in the fan. See:
