Who has the authority to freeze a bank account?

That's a very vague question... almost like asking WHO CAN ARREST ME?

... any government agencies... fbi, dea, cia, IRS, and the list goes on...

I believe credit card companies can... and not to mention the police if you're under investigation of an ongoing case...

OK how about telecheck ? Can they freeze your account with out telling you/ I read they are a fraud they've frozen accounts for un reliable reasons my statement showed a deposit this mornin and this evening there was no deposit
