My alarm on the 04 Saab goes off whenever it wants... not all the time. Some weeks it works fine then for a couple of days I have to reset it when driving or when its just sitting. Any suggestions? I talked with the dealer and said to drop it off it may need reprogramed... we all know how the dealers work so I'd like to stay away from them if possible. Thanks

You'll likely be hard pressed to find many qualified to service your SAAB.
There is likely a software update that can be performed, but they need to make certain that the problem isn't any of the various tamper switches that control the alarm system.
First, they may be booked up, due to lack of qualified techs. But they might also like to see what it takes to actually set the system off.

We all know having to do without our precious automobiles is not easy to deal with. But there are times when it is best to be patient.
Based upon your description, they should have little difficulty finding the problem. Let them work their magic. OK?
