I'm almost positive this is in the wrong spot, but didn't know where to ask..
Basically, my toilet is running, how do I make it stop??

Have you checked to see if the flapper is not seating properly in the drain hole inside the back of the flush box? That is usually the first step.

No, I just shut the bathroom door. But I will try that, sounds more effective. :p
I'll let you know how it goes.

I just checked that... seems to be fine... what would be the next step?

The proper place would have been the plumbing site.
More specifics please. Does the toilet run all the time or does the water come on and then go off, only to come on again in a short period?

It's only been doing this for two days... but it's a constant running...

You have a defective fill valve or ballcock. Remove the top off the tank. Look in side and tell us what you see, a ball on the end of a rod or a black thing around a shaft sticking up. Lift the ball or the black thing and see if the water stops. If it stops you can stop the water this way each time you flush, until you have it repaired. If the water does not stop turn the water off at the little valve underneath the tank where the pipe comes out of the wall. You will have to turn the water back on each time you use the toilet and then turn it back off. If you don't stop the water you will have a BIG water bill, even if you do shut the bathroom door.
