I have a Sony HDTV KDS-R60XBR2 that I wish to connect to a Panasonic DMR-ES25 DVD recorder/player. I suscribe to dish network and have a two TV set receiver, model number VIP622DVR. I do not have local channels with the dish but get them through a separate antenna connection on TV.

The back of the satellite receiver is connected to a separator marked SAT 1 and SAT 2 that goes to the receiver. The input to the separator goes to a duplexer input marked satellite. The other input of the duplexer marked TV goes to a connection on receiver marked CH 21-69 out.

Can I connect everything with HDMI cables and record off the antenna onto the DVD player/recorder? I have HDMI connectors on all components.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks:

Grown men and women have been trying to do this set up for a long time with no success. They have all ended up calling the sat TV service and having to have a tech nerd come out and fix the configuration.

Hulvdog : What a complete waste of a post. If this person didn't know the answer, they shouldn't have posted an answer.

You obviously did not know the answer. I've had neighbors ending up calling the satellite company to come and fix the problem and these people WERE tech nerds.
