I just rebooted my comp.. Hp xw 9300 workstation xp pro 32 bit

I tried to upgrade to ie7 and installed 64 bit by mistake reinstalled called msoft
To get 7 out.. My computer kept shutting down.. so I just rebooted from disk

Know I can no longer burn movies with my intervideo so I went on their site
And downloaded new version before reboot.. still half way through shut me down

So know I after a reboot It still shuts me down..
Whole bunch of errors
Serious err etc..
C:\DOCUMEN~/\ADMINI~/\LOCALS~\TEMP WERB4EF.DIROO\MINI:011908-01.DMP

C:DOCUME~/\ADMINI~/\LOCULS~/\TEMP\WERB43F.DIR00\SYSDATA.XML
NOT SURE IF ALL THE SLASH MARKS ARE CORRECT I COPPIED

I was seeing xml errors or something about them before I rebooted

I thought when you reboot you go back to the orig.. when delivered least that was what
Hp said

Do you have a clue what is going on... I was not even on the computer when
It shuts down and boots up on it's own.. disgusted

Error report also said this error includes inf. Regarding rhe micorsoft version of windows
When the prob.occured...
The opersys. Version and computer hard ware in use and the int protocol (IP)
Address OF YOUR COMPUTER?

Do you have a clue what I can do as I can't keep rebooting this computer
It is still under warranty with hp.. but they only know reboot..

So I don't have a clue what this is all about all of the sudden.. as the comp
Was working perfect

And Why my inter video prog shuts me down again after half way burning a dvd

Thanks
I sound like a nut cause I don't have a clue what to do..

You need to use the system tools and use the Restore feature and literally take your computer "back" to an earlier time. That should get rid of the "wrong" IE7 you downloaded and have your computer back where it was before it messed up.

I just did this same thing and downloaded a program I didn't want that erased an earlier version of a file sharing program and erased all my inprogress downloaded movies. When I took my computer back... the original p2p was there with all my in progress movies.

I did this so many times and it just got worse before I rebooted
This is why I did this did not help as the shut down was happ.. before as well

There has to be something else going on.. but the problem is what
This is happ.. on a new reboot with nothing took me 3 days to get my prog.. back
And intervideo shut me down... again where it never happened before.. all this started?

You might have to wait until someone else answers this q for you or you may have to just totally reinstall everything from square one and start all over again.

Wait until someone else tries to answer your q though before trying something that drastic.

I would copy all your data files and then use the System Restore to bring you back to factory settings.

the original p2p was there with all my in progress movies.

I'm curious as to what you mean by in progress movies.

I was downloading the movies so essentially they were "in progress" and then when I upgraded to a different version of Shareaza they all disappeared! I hate the Shareaza 4 version as it caters to music and I'm into movies. The older versions would just "keep" my already in progress downloaded movies but this new version didn't keep anything. Boy was I ticked as I had 70% and 90% of some very good movies! I tried using "Go Back" but that didn't work but the System Restore did (thankfully).

And what movies are you downloading? Like current movies that are in theatres or on DVD or other types?
