We are looking at buying a new car and have trawled the showrooms lately.

We saw a Chery - Chinese car which was very cheap and had all sorts of fancy gizmos: movie screens in rear seats and one at front in the middle (could be a bit dangerous? ); 2.4litre engine; sunroof; blah blah blah.

Does anyone have any comments/experience about this car.

We live in Bahrain so a good air conditioner is vital
The Chery has only just come to Bahrain so we are having difficulty getting feedback

Should we buy it or steer clear of it?

They also have a car called the Tiigo (spelling?) which looks like a small 4x4 which is also very cheap.

Grateful for any advice

thanks

Any time a manufacturer releases a new model, the first buyers become the test drivers.
Instead of focusing on that particular model, review the earlier models from the same builder.
You make no mention of warranty nor the availability of qualified repair facilities.
Buyer beware, I'd say.

Always the first model run, new design, new engine etc. Will have faults. As stated, you will be guinea pigs with any of them. No matter who's brand.

If you can, wait a year on this one. Then maybe most of the bugs will be fixed or addressed by then.

I own a Chery A3, it's good, only some tiny problems exist.
