Hello all. I am pretty new to this site, but here goes...
I need help locating a web site that is truly free, for locating people.
I am trying to find the step-daughter of my wife, from a 20 year old marriage.
We believe she is in trouble, and we want to help. Her name is Tanya M. Avakian, and we know she is in Colorado Springs, Colorado, but that's about it. She would be about 42-45 years old. All the other sites I've been to, find her info, but won't display it unless you pay a "Join up fee". I'll go that way, and pay what it takes to find her, but I know there is a free site out there somewhere. I need help to find it. I would like to use the free sites if I can, as my wife and I aren't financially in a very good place right now. Can anyone help?? PLEASE!! I do research like this very frequently in my genealogical endeavors to locate living cousins. There's nothing I know of for free - except for basic directory searches...

I did find that as of Jan '03, a person with the same name worked for the Policy Research Section, Research and Statistics Unit of the CO Dept of Labor & Employment Div of Workers Comp, in Denver.
