We hooked up the honeywell programmable thermostat and it was working fine for 10 days or so until this weekend when the temperature should be at 67 all day from 6am to 10pm and 62 from 10pm until 6am on sat and sun. this weekend the thermostat does not bring the temp up to 67 but it leaves it at 61 to 62 degrees. The furnace does come on once and awhile but only remains on for mintues. Tried the honeywell.com/yourhome website but for some reason my model is not listed and we are freezing and can not get help from honeywell until Monday. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

Does the thermostat tell you what it is doing? Does it show the 67 degrees as the set temperature? Could it have some default program that leaves the lower temperature over the weekend? Try reprograming it.
If all else fails, pull it off the wall and twist the red and white wires together. If the furnace doesn't come on and keep running until you disconnect them, it is the problem, not the thermostat.

I'm not sure what you mean by does the furnace tell you what it is doing My husband is at work and I can not ask him to help me right now. It shows a flame that indicates that it is in the funace mode, it shows the time of day and the day of the week and it also shows a house with the number one inside. I noticed that yesterday the hose was blinking but not today. The house I believe is showing me that it is in mode #1 which is where it should be for the weekend settings. I do not know if it has a default or not. What does the red and white wire do for the furnace? Also if I'm not mistaken something else I remembered was that my husband noticed that someone had turned off our Aprilaire so midweek he turned it on and I was wondering if that could have anything to do with the problem we are having. I also timed the furnace when it went on and it only stayed on for 2 minutes and that was 1 hour ago and I do not think it has turned on again. It shows my present temp to be 64 degrees when it should be at 67 I will try to keep track of the times that it shuts off and on. Thanks Tobyyahtzee

Some thermostats have a light or icon that tells when they are calling for heat. If the light is on, but not the furnace, something is wrong with the wiring or the furnace. When the thermostat calls for heat it switches power from the red wire to the white wire. Connecting them yourself, tells you whether the thermostat didn't connect them, or that it did, but the furnace didn't stay on. Another check would be to connect them at the furnace. Likely they are inside the panel you remove to change the filters.
The humidifier should have nothing to do with it unless it is shorting out the transformer.
