I just tried myhd hair dye remover on my hair( which is coloured black)
And it half worked, my roots are back to their original colour... light brown,
But the rest of my hair is still very very black.
I had consulted a hairdresser about getting my hair stripped last week but my sister came home with the product and told me it had worked for her friends..
I used it exactly as I was instructed to..
Does this mean my hair is just too black to be stripped.. should I even bother going to the hairdressers to try get it done? x

Semi-permanent and permanent black hair dye are the hardest to remove. A hair color remover may not remove the black dye from your hair completely since the pigment is so strong. If you want to go back to light brown, you must lighten your hair with bleach and then apply the desired color. If possible, let a professional work on your hair.

Thing is, its not permanent black, its semi-permanent!

A semi-permanent black dye will leave a permanent tint on light hair or color treated hair. A stylist will need to bleach out the black pigments and re-color your hair.
