I had a bilateral tubal ligation 6yrs ago and I would like to know if I could get my tubes reversed to have a baby? Has anyone ever had this procedure and what is the price range and outcome/success rate?

When having a tubal reversal there is no guarantee that it will work. There is a very high rate of ectopic pregnancies, if any, with a reversal due to scar tissue in the fallopian tubes where conception actually begins. It also depends on what kind of tubal you had... cut... cut & tied... cut & burned... cut-tied&burned.

Prices vary according to what area of the country/world you are in, and are typically not covered by insurance.

I just had them cut and they used clamps... on both sides they cut about a centimeter off each... my op report does not state anything about them being tied or burned just clamped... does that make any difference?

It may it easier for them to reattach the tubes, however, there will be some scar tissue that may prevent pregnancy or cause ectopic pregnancies.

Reversals are never guaranteed to work.
