I done a pregnancy test 4 weeks ago which was positive by my periods I should be 9 weeks pregnant but 2 days ago went to hospital because I had a light bleed which was brown in colour I have passed 2 more little bits since. The hospital sent me for a scan the next day. They couldn't see a great deal so I had to have an internal scan which they then discovered they couldn't find an heartbeat so they said there was 2 possible options: I was 9 weeks pregnant but the baby had stopped growing an therefore I would have a miscarriage soon or my dates were wrong and I was a lot earlier than 9 weeks and it will progress into a healthy pregnancy just like my other two! Now I have got to go back for another scan in a weeks time but the waiting is killing me. Have anyone been in similar situation?

I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. Your doctor is the best and only person who can truly tell you all the details you need to know. However, I would like to add that every woman ovulates at different times. So perhaps you ovulated at the end of your cycle, and that puts the fetus age a bit younger then 9 weeks. Also if the bleeding is a light bleed, and its brown, that is more promising, then if it were heavy and bright red. Some women have early pregnancy bleeding, and go on to have healthy uneventful pregnancies and births. Like I said, only your doctor can tell you one way or the other, but I just wanted to point those possibilities out. Good luck to you, I hope all turns out well for you.

Thank you, I did have spotting for only a day the day my cycle was suppose to start last month then nothing else. I am thinking of waiting it out by next week and see if my cycle would start and if it doesn't then I guess I may be already 8 weeks pregnant!
