I've used godiva lipgloss but it only slightly lightened my lips. Now I just put ds crème on my lips. Lol. Don't know if it's working yet though.

Godiva only made my lips appear lighter

I thought it was working for a while until I stopped using it and realized that it didn't acutally lighten my lips, but just made them look lighter.

So that product you mentioned is working... Good to Know! :)

The website looks very professional

So what color were your lips before ?

Let me know if DS cream work because the active ingredient is kojic acid, right? And Fresh Up contains kojic acid too. :)

I asked a free sample of that fresh up thing. I'm from Philippines, would I have to pay anything, like shipping for example?

I tried the sample and it works great! I ended up buying 3 tubes of Fresh Up cream (at $119) at Dark Lips Treatment - Use FRESH UP to Lighten Dark Lips, Nipples, Scars and Stretch Marks (http://www.nodarklips.com) as it is more cost effective than per piece price of $49. My girlfriends noticed the difference in my pink lip too. It really boosted my confidence. I have also started to use it on my elbow and nipples. This thing does work!

Did you guys get an email to confirm whether they'll send you one or not? I filled up the form online and afterwards I got the message on the screen that I'll receive it in up to 6 weeks etc but I also receive an email from Yahoo saying that my email couldn't be delivered although I never sent them an email via Yahoo just the email address I entered there is a Yahoo one. What does that mean?

They don't really send you a sample

I ordered a sample sent me that lie of an email saying that they shipped it

They just say that to get people to buy the product

Which is what I did and I'm using freshup right now

I ordered godiva lip gloss (piece of ****)

And still have some left over and I use it in the morning before school

And I use freshup at night

I also have some 3% mono cream I ordered from over a month ago

Does anyone think I should mix the 3% mono and the freshup pinkish cream for better results ?

Gr8stuff
Mar 13, 2008, 01:43 PM
I don't think using mono for specific areas is a good idea even at 3% but it's only my opinion and I've never even tried mono. Most of the research I've done seems to point to the fact that applying mono in any area over time will result in your whole body depigmenting. Of course I'll be glad if people with experience can prove otherwise.

As for fresh-up, does it actually work at all?

Received the sample now... Goshhh!! It's a very small black sachet with a very nice pink Fresh up look alike match booklet- sorry really don't know the exact term I think it is good for two application only. I don't know if I will see some results in two application. The mail stamp came from Malaysia.

I just received my sample (which I ordered 4 months ago)

Because the sample I ordered was taking so long I just ordered the product

Which, ironically came 4 weeks later

I think they were purposely trying to get people to order the product

Well... I have been using it on and off

I had lost confidence in the product but I might as well finish what I started

So I will let you know my results from both the unbelievably small sample and the tube

It seems alpha arbutin is the safest thing right now, has any one tried it with good results? Can you tell where you got it from? From a licensed chemist?

It's disappointing when you said you'd post pictures and didn't!

That's what excites people :( lol

Anyway, I've been using Diana Stalder glutathione soap at night annd applying Vaseline on top of it to give it some moisture.

It's been working great, here's how I do it https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/skin-lightening/proven-way-lighten-your-lips-386719.html#post1922859 I think everyone can try this!

All you need is your choice of lightening soap and some vaseline or some type of moisturizer and most of all patience!

I'm quite persuaded that monobenzone will successfully work to lighten your lips. Your lips are red, pink, etc. due to the absence of general melanin, and presence/visuality of blood cells/vessels.

A low dilution of mono should gradually deactivate those melanocytes while fading the melanin as well.

But wouldn't that burn? I thought mono burns?

Golden Girl mono doesn't really burn that much.. At least for me it hasn't burned much...
In fact benzylarbutin burned me like crazy when I used to use it.. used to redden me and create bruises.. and take days to heal..

And then once it got better my original colour used to come back...

Neither of the products have worked for me to date...

Try retin a for pink lips... and STOP SMOKING if you do... your lips will get pinkish and GLOSSY... you don't need to apply lip gloss thereon.. it works for me !

Godiva worked for me, I know it didn't for others but slowly but surely it worked for me.

Thanks for explaining. The benzyl arbutin I heard is something made up, so I wonder what's really in herbalinn's "benzyl arbutin" anyway?

So sexy are you talking about the godiva lightening for lips? I heard that it can lighten the lips well

But wouldn't that burn? I thought mono burns?

Generally speaking, yes, it does burn, peel or irritate skin when in higher concentrations, such as 40% or above. However, using very low doses or dilutes between 1% all the way to about 10% will not burn, and at the very least, just tingle at first. I'd recommend starting at 3%, and gradually increasing it up to 5%.

For maximum results, use a skin lightening maintainer as well, such as Arbutin or Kojic Acid. The Monobenzone (when used once every 1 to 2 days) will decrease melanocyte activity and presence without too much harm, while the maintainer simply prevents the existing cells from producing more melanin via tyrosine, the actual skin darkener.

Quick edit - I've never really heard of Benzyl-Arbutin to be honest. I'd stick with the all natural, and proven Alpha or Beta Arbutin. I've used concentrations of 5-10% over the course of 2 months, with no side effects or burning, other than gradual skin lightening.

Aug 19, 2009, 04:14 PM
Yeah I have read so many good things about Alpha and Beta Arbutin. From what I have researched, Benzyl Arbutin is a chemical that does not exist... except on HerbalInn's website. But, when you Google it, only comments from forums come up about it. For all we know it's made of acid... lol

lilgreg1
Aug 19, 2009, 08:18 PM
Indeed; there's no such thing nor a term coined as 'Benzyl-Arbutin'. That alone proves that using such a chemical is a bad idea, or even useless.

From past reviews, "Benzyl-Arbutin" does NOT work, and I'd recommend that people not buy such products. (That goes for the said herbalin.com, monobenzone.net, and other sites that have been found as scam sites owned by a single owner.)

----------------------------------------------------------

Anyhow, a bit of good news for all you people interested in seeing results with Monobenzone. I've just ordered a 20 gram tube of Mac Labs Benoquin, directly from India. Not only is this cheaper, but will prove whether generic brands specifically work, especially when diluted.

Wish me the best of luck; I'll be posting results within the next few weeks or so.
