My boyfriend went to the army with his girlfriend and he signed all his rights to her & she signed all her rights to her parents. He had to get out because he was injured, she stayed in & they broke up now the grandparents won't let him see her. We live in Ny & all he wants is to be able to get visitation. The problem is that the grandfather is in the army & he's stationed in Brooklyn but I thought it didn't matter if he was in the army when it came to military law verses are because it is a custody issue. We need help! It has been a whole yr since he's seen her.

He will need a competent lawyer to straighten this out. If he is the father, he should be paying child support and is entitled to visitation.

You must follow the rules and regulation...

Why did they sign over rights in the first place? I don't understand that at all. Nor do I understand a court allowing them to sign over rights. So I suspect someone is giving them a story.
He needs to get a copy of what he signed and read it carefully. Then take it to a lawyer to see what rights he has.
