I currently work for a chauffeur company and once my 2nd daughter starts full time school would like to set up my own business - linking the London subbies I currently use and those used in Europe/MiddleEast/US. This would mean I can spend more after school time with my daughters than I currently so - only seeing them when they wake up and when they go to bed My question is other than a phone and a computer what else do you think I would need - I have the contacts already?? I've never been my own boss so am not sure what I need to do next

Hello ,
Its very good idea that you want to start up new business from home and at the same time want to take care of your kids. I appreciate that. What I could understand out of your question is What do you need to set up your business right? I would say " You need to make plan for your expenses and as well as your profit out of it. And also you need to think about license, tools, shipping arrangement.

Thank you Biloo for your answer... I have since spoken to a subcontractor that I currently use in my present role and he would be very interested in working with me when the time comes - I hadn't thought about whether I would need a licence or not - something I will look into - I think I would also need to look into setting up a website - something I know nothing about - but I think some of the business would come through word of mouth.

Can I ask - do you have your own business at all?

Each state has its rule of licensing. Which state are you in?
