I'll give you two tips that have worked for me flawlessly. Buy a nice expensive wardrobe at your present size and 2. buy a huge supply of Kotex. Bingo, I was pregnant within a month and could not use either the wardrobe or the Kotex. Seriously, you sound like you're doing everything right and possibly might be pregnant now. Relax!

When was your last period?

Did the doctor make you aware that it could take up to 18 months after stopping the depo shot before you are able to become pregnant?

The doctor told me once I get my period back it would be easier for me to get pregnant. But I was only on it for 9 months. I already went to a doc and she said wait it out I did and got my period. So I guess I got to wait again. What are the risks after depo and having a baby. Miscarring.

There are no risks involved with pregnancy after depo, other than the fact that it takes depo a good long time to get out of your system.

We never suggest depo to a patient that wants to get pregnant within 2 years. It's much like the birth control pill but stronger, and longer to get out of your system.

Now, do you know when you ovulate? Ovulation is the prime time for conception to occur.

How can you tell that. I know its usually 14 days after your periode.

It all depends. It is usually 12 - 14 days after the first day of your period if you have a 28 day cycle. Not all women have a 28 day cycle.

You can look for cervical mucous changes, the mucous will change from thick and white to more clear and stretchy, this can help, but is only an aide, not necessarily 100% accurate.

I would highly recommend you look for the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler. It will help you to understand your cycle and how to optimize your chances for pregnancy and it will be useful in better understanding your options for birth control in the future. For some women it can take a long time to become fertile again after depo, try to be patient. Enjoy the process of trying to conceive!
