My boyfriend violated his probation which is up in July 08. He has been incarcerated since Dec 7, 07 with a court date of 1-8-08. He does not have residence in the state he was convicted in, but does with his dad and has a job. What are the chances that he will be released to his dad? This is his first and only violation. Thank you!

This is the law page - not the bookmaking page. If his dad did all the things he needed to do, and your boyfriend did too, then his chances are good.

If they didn't do anything and are just hoping for a good result, then his chances are bad.

Him living in another state will be the issue, before he can be released on probation to antoher state, not only will probation have to be approved but the state he wants to move to will have to accept him on probation into their state.
