Pretty much me and the guy I am dating had sex a few weeks ago and the condom broke :( Luckily for me I AM on birth control, Necon 1/35... I have gotten my period but it is WAY lighter than it is even when it is light, and lasted for barely 3 days. I am 22, and am not exactly ignorant to reproductive ways, however I am a tad bit nervous. Lately, I have been exhausted for no reason (on break from school and have only had one shift so far at work this week), I have lost my appetite, the smells of certain foods make me VERY nauseated (even more so with the ones that made me ill a year ago and of course with sea food and any meat), I feel ill a lot and like I said, my period is a lot lighter than it is even when it is light and has only lasted for 3 days as apposed to 6 or 7, oh and I keep getting terrible headaches and pains in my back. Like I said, I am on birth control, and I am not stressed out about anything, nothing wrong with my liver or kidneys, and we used two forms of birth control, my pill and his condom (though it broke, and yes it was the right size).

Any advice would be great. I just had a doctors exam on the 10th and know otherwise I am fine when it comes to STD's and all my insides working right, etc.; this happened a few days after the doctor visit and we have been back together for a few months now. He also got his STD check and was given a clean bill of health as well.

Thanks for any help you can give! :o

Go back to the doctor, or better yet an ob/gyn doctor.

Well if it broke, you were only using one form of birth control, a broken condom is not a method. And of course no one form is 100 percent,
So it is still possible to be pregnant, the only 100 percent method is no sex. Have you did a pregnancy test ?

I have been to the obgyn, that's the only doctor I go to, and the condom was one with spermicide in it

Buy a pregnancy test for about $12 in any drugstore. Know the result within minutes in the privacy of your own home. Birth control pills are very effective so your chances of being pregnant is very low.

update: took 4 test, 2 said I'm pregnant the other 2 said I wasn't. Going to go get a proper test done next week. The nausea has increased, no vomiting, breast tenderness the same, headaches on and off, I am increasingly hungry and the sight and smell of my favorite foods turn me off completely. Also I am now getting lower back pains and instead of cramps I have a pulling sensation in my pelvic region. It pretty much is feeling like I am ovulating, except it increase in intensity and has gone on for about 3 weeks now. No vomiting, sleeping 12-14 hours when I do not have to go to work, and I have notice a slight spotting, nothing huge, but a bit every now and then, like a small spot or two not even a cm big. I have NEVER spotted in my life. Before I figured it was all stress, now really worrying that maybe I really am. Other random things finding... my vision is changing and my cats' behaviors have changed towards me. One, who didn't like being touched, is all over me, while the other one who LOVES affection, not only will go no where near my boyfriend, but he gives me evil looks as well.

... sadly the funniest part about this all is when I dated him before, I was on this same pill and we never used condoms and we never had a scare, ever. I have been on it for 2 years, never changed how I took it, up at 7AM to take it, everyday, even the white ones that you don't HAVE to take. BLAH!

... anyone know about the Caris clinics? I have been told they are free, and want to know if that is true, as I do not want to go to my regular doctor since I am still under my father's insurance and do not want the test to show up on the bill.

Were the 2 tests that were positive done in the morning, and the other 2 at other times of the day?

The pregnancy hormone is more likely to be in first morning urine, which is why it might show up then and not at other times.
