Hello,

I have a stuck diverter, (I think that's what is called).

I have a 1 knob pull out turn left or right for hot/cold shower thingy, we have a leak in the wall and a little leak from the knob(hot water comes out). We have opened our wall behind the shower and we know it comes from the knob area. We have also pulled the knob and faceplate off and we see the diverter, BUT, we can not get the thing out. All I know is that it is a Moen. On the diverter, we have pulled out a little piece off the top, like a n shape pin, which we though held it in. We just can't pull the part out to replace it. We went to home depot and there are a couple of different pieces we can buy but we thought we should take the one out first. Any suggestions on how to pull it out? Our house was built in the 80's. Thank you.

Monique

I do hope you put the horseshoe clip back in before you turned the water on or your problem of getting the cartridge out will change to a flood. Buy a genuine moen plastic magnum cartridge and the instructions will be inside the package. Make sure water is off first and handle open to release pressure
