We had a man renting a mobile home space on our property. We asked him in mid June to please move by September. He bought a home in late August but had some trouble selling the trailer because it was junk. He finally sold it in mid September. My husband told the young man who bought it he wanted it out within a couple weeks. The boy agreed. The next weekend he came and did a couple hours work on it. Then we did not see or hear from him for two more weeks. When we called him, he informed us he had run into some problems and would get it as soon as possible. This went on with our calling him (he never got in touch with us) periodically for a couple months. At one time, he told my husband to just do whatever he wanted to do with it. Then the next weekend, he said he wanted it. I had a guy make me an offer to move it for the boy for $400.00. When I called to tell him this, he was asleep and refused to talk to me, even after I told his wife what I wanted. Finally I got him on the phone with the mover, and when the mover asked him if he was interested in the offer, he said all he wanted to do was go back to sleep. Today I had a guy stop and ask me about the trailer and I told him if he wanted it, hook up and take it. He did, and now the boy is threatening me. If it was supposed to be moved by September, and is still sitting here on December 23, I think I was within my rights. This young man showed no real intent to move it, and did not try to keep us informed or work with us in any way. BTW, this trailer is not what I would call livable anyway.
