I have a few questions! It's difficult to find the exact information I need online as well as factual information. There is a lot of speculation and hearsay out there - it's all so confusing. First, I am planning to go to Europe in March 2008. London first, then France then Portugal (and maybe a few more countries in between). I would like to work while I am there, but I am unsure how to go about doing that... legally. I would also like to know about marrying my Portuguese boyfriend. We met here in the States through a mutual friend in May. It was love at first sight! He went back to Portugal in July and is here again until February. How exactly does it work when you marry someone who is not an American Citizen? And where should we get married - in the States or in Portugal? Where can we both live and work legally? I am sure there are fees, applications, etc. to consider in this situation. But what are they? I don't want to be away from him for four months like I was before. How easy would it be for me to live and work in Europe to be close to him before we get married? I know that he can travel and work within the EU without restrictions, but I can't. Help! Any information is greatly appreciated!
