I have two Amana 80 SSE IIO units. One just stopped igniting.
The trouble indicator light was blinking 2x to indicate the vacuum switch was stuck closed. I made sure the tube was clear, and applied suction to the tube to and could hear the switch activate. The trouble light shows clear now.
I hear the vacuum switch click on when the induction fan starts blowing. I also hear a series of clicks from the control board (White rogers 50A51-225) but no burner ignition.
Is it safe to TEMPORARILY bypass the vacuum switch with manual switch to test and see if the burner ignites?
Should I locate and clean the control rod/tube?
