The water flow in the kitchen faucet just stopped one morning. This is a single handle faucet with the spray attached (not attached to the same base).
Using responses given to people with similar problems, I tried the following
a. I checked the aerator screen. It is clean but no water flows when the aerator is open.
b. I checked the valves (hot & cold) externally, below the sink and they are open. No water leaks around the place.
c. I tried to open the faucet but was unsuccessful. Could not find an allen wrench of the correct size. One wrench left behind by the previous owners seemed to fit but I was unable to open the faucet. It is one with a round bulb like tip, not the conventional allen wrench
d. I think it is a Price Pfister Marielle Chrome Kitchen Faucet (with Spray and Soap Dispenser), I arrived at this conclusion by browsing available brands on the internet.
I will appreciate any help/guidance on correct approach to resolve this problem.
The dishware is next to the sink and works fine. No issue with the water supply to the dishwasher. There are no bathrooms or restrooms on this level
