Hi,
Have you tried this?
Go to Start / Control Panel / Performance and Maintenance / Power Options Tab.
Then, click on APM; Enable Advanced Power Management Support.
Click on Apply, and OK.
This might solve the problem. Best of luck.

Thanks, but I already did this. Any other idea? Is there a possibility to update to sp2 and solve the problem?

It's worth I try? Whenever I get a problem I try everything I can think of - one out of the number of things I try usually rectify the problem. If not I have lots of friends who are PROs when it comes to computers. Will be happy to ask them on your behalf if you wish me to??
Scottgem you are good at these questions where are you?? Curlyben you may even know??
