There was an overload many times on this specific breaker, and we replaced it and there is still no power to the garage. It was a double switch 20 amp circuit breaker/fuse that was replaced, and the main switch outside to the power was shut off before we replaced the breaker. There was a severe overload, could we have damaged something further than the circuit breaker? There was no smoke or smell of any kind when the circuit was overloaded but the person who overloaded it continued to plug too much stuff into it and threw the breaker many times. Please Please Please help! We need it
Thanks and many blessings to all! :p

Check voltage out of breaker, then first box it goes to, and follow downline.

I once had a similar problem. Is there a GFI outlet in the garage? Likely this would be the first outlet after the circuit breaker. Check to see if it needs to be reset.

jem02081 is correct, if your home is older then the requirement of having a gfic in the garage,it is possible but unlikely that you have damaged anything, what intriges me is a two pole breaker are you sure your on the correct circuit most garages are fed with a single circuit, unless someone has rewired or added circuits.
